About Us
Rebuilding Hope, One Family at a Time
Rise Again Jamaica is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families rebuild their lives after natural disasters, beginning with the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa. Founded in Delaware and rooted in deep love for our island home, we work to provide essential resources such as food, clothing, bedding, and emergency supplies to communities in need across Jamaica.
Our mission is to bring hope, relief, and recovery one family at a time. Through collective effort, we aim to restore dignity, inspire resilience, and help our people rise stronger than before.

Founder Story
Rise Again Jamaica was founded with one simple mission: to bring hope, relief, and recovery to families in Jamaica impacted by natural disasters.
Our founder, Michelle Ramundo, grew up in Jamaica, where she experienced firsthand the devastation caused by Hurricane Gilbert. She remembers the long nights, the loss, and the strength of her mother and community, who came together to rebuild with love and determination.
Now based in Delaware, Michelle continues that same spirit of resilience by helping others rebuild after Hurricane Melissa. What began as a small effort to collect supplies has grown into a movement, one that unites people across the world to help Jamaica rise again.
Through Rise Again Jamaica, we’re not just rebuilding homes, we’re rebuilding hope, one family at a time.
