The gap we work in
Too many Jamaican children sit through the school day on an empty stomach.
Their families are not careless, they are stretched. A parent choosing between bus fare and breakfast is not a failure of love, it is a shortage of resources. When the lunch money runs out, attendance drops, grades slip and a child's future narrows before they reach grade six.
School feeding programs do not reach every child, and many schools lost their food vendors after the pandemic. We work at the point where that gap opens, in the school, in the canteen, at the family's front door.
What we do
School lunch and food insecurity
Meals and food assistance for students and families who cannot cover the cost, delivered so the food reaches the whole household.
Educational support
Books, backpacks, school supplies and resources delivered directly to students and schools.
Graduation sponsorship
Graduation expenses covered for eligible students so no child misses their own milestone.
Emergency relief and rebuilding
Food, clothing, hygiene supplies, household goods and building materials after hurricanes and other hardship.
Family empowerment
Practical support that helps families move toward self sufficiency.
Early childhood education
A future initiative to expand access to quality early learning. This program is in development and is not yet operating.
